The multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social assistants provide intensive short-term care and follow-up. Once the crisis is over, the therapist and patient start the transition to a resource that will oversee the patient’s regular therapy based on his or her needs and the doctor’s prescription.

• Help patients return to a balanced, dynamic state
• Allow patients and their families to improve their skills to face future stress
• Avoid potential hospital stays
• Support general practitioners (with a “consilium” or peer consultation)
